Humility is being content with the gifts and service that God has given you. It prevents envy, which is wanting those gifts and service God has given to others.

There’s a big difference between being a “preacher for the church” (common, unbiblical phrase among us) and a “servant of the church” Col 1.25. One is an employee, sometimes a lackey; the other an obedient follower of the Lord Jesus.
