“I tell you the solemn truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain” Jn 12.24.
The question is not why God allows us to suffer. The question we ought to be asking is why God allows us to live. The answer to that question is easy: He wants us to repent and seek him.
Contrary to the prosperity gospel, the abundant life, Jn 10.10, doesn’t mean more material possessions. It means the possession of God, Jn 10.9.
How we choose to spend our time is how we choose to spend our life.
Pay attention to what kind of life you lead, if it pleases and glorifies God, and the consequences it brings. “The Lord All-Powerful said, ‘Think about what you are doing.'” Hag 1.7 ERV.
Life is worth living only when we find meaning in God’s praise. “Let me live so I can praise you, and may your regulations help me” Psa 119.175 NLT.
