Some say Jesus committed suicide, but this is an unfortunate and inaccurate statement. Suicide is an act of desperation. Jesus’ decision to accept God’s will and die upon the cross was the supreme act of hope.
When the mental or physical pain breaks the barrier of the bearable, we react. Let it drive us to the Lord Jesus Christ, who knew the anguish of the cross and the suffering for the sins of the world.

Christ’s death brought about manifold benefits, but they may be summed up in this, that “in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself” 2Co 5.19.
