Only by taking the long view of things—the eternal view, the divine perspective—is there hope for mankind.

Some say Jesus committed suicide, but this is an unfortunate and inaccurate statement. Suicide is an act of desperation. Jesus’ decision to accept God’s will and die upon the cross was the supreme act of hope.
