The meetings of the church are not for consumers, but for people looking for service. They look to serve before, during, and after their meetings together. They search for someone to encourage to live in Christ. They meet with other Christians not to receive, but to give. They have the heart of God.
In Brazil, many saints have picked up a bad habit, borrowed from religious neighbors, calling songs “praise.” But not every song is praise, and not all praise is song. It ignores the teaching and edifying nature of many songs, Eph 5.15-21; Col 3.15-17.
