The meetings of the church are not for consumers, but for people looking for service. They look to serve before, during, and after their meetings together. They search for someone to encourage to live in Christ. They meet with other Christians not to receive, but to give. They have the heart of God.
The church, only the church, and nothing more than the church is the divine infrastructure so that the gospel may be proclaimed in the whole world.
Consistency in thought and action is but another name for integrity, that unchanging quality that lives the truth and wears the gospel as a comfortable garment. With God there is “no variation or the slightest hint of change” Jas 1.17. Neither should his people show weakness in faith or wariness before God’s purpose and mission.
God especially values the little people. They are the buttresses of his kingdom. They don’t make headlines, but they do make things happen.
